My 'Alice'

Image
Morning Bloggers. I thought I should add this picture of my Grand Daughter Mia, who played 'Alice' at her local Drama Group's production of 'Alice in Wonderland' I was so proud and we all really enjoyed the show. She did three performances, I wish I could have seen them all. I was given the task of making her costume, both 'Alice' and myself was pleased with the finished result. My previous post was the card I made for her as a memento.

Alice in Wonderland

Good morning everyone, this card is for my 10 year old Grand Daughter Mia who is playing 'Alice' at her Drama Group Christmas Production. I used an image from Mo's digi pencil. I have filled the inside with tags and quotes from the Show as a memento for her. I am really pleased with the finished result, hope you like it too.

Hi Bloggers, I cut this silhouette on my Cameo, its actually navy blue but looks black in the photo. I added a snowflake border die cut and My Minds Eye backing paper. I was really pleased with this cut and will make another. Hope you like it.

Sunny Autumn Day

Image
Good morning bloggers, its a beautiful day here in Colchester, and I wish I had the energy to drive up to Kettering for the new craft exhibition there. never mind, think I'll stay home and watch Barbara Gray on C&C. I made this card using a donated image and some papers I downloaded ages ago, so no real helpful information I'm afraid. Hope you like her regardless and thank you for stopping by. Have a great day everyone.

Patchwork Sarah Kay

Image
Goodness me this card took me most of last night and today, it just wouldn't come together. My mojo has returned but my design skills are sadly still awol. The image is from Sarah Kay coloured with copics. The die cuts are the Marvelous squares from spellbinders. I cut lots of hexagons from Hot off the Press scraps and used a zig zag stitch to sew them together. Thank you for stopping by.

Old Timer

Image
Good Morning Bloggers. This card took me ages to make as there was something missing, then I added the Lamp post and it all seemed to gel. I hope you like this one, Mens cards are so hard to make aren't they. The Car die and Washi tape is from Marianne, the Lampost was cut with my Silhouette, Spellbinder majestic square die and Bazzil Green Card. Have a Lovely Sunday one and all.

A missing Mojo!

Image
Here are a couple of cards I have made recently, I am happy to say my Card making Mojo has returned once again. The first one was using a flower and bunting cut with my Silhouette Cameo. The second is mostly the 'Tied Together ' embossing folder with a butterfly border die.

Thanks for stopping by.

More Tea?

Image
Hi everyone, I've had another go at painting with Distress Inks. This week I got the new Summer set and Pumice stone, which is what I have used here. I love this stamp from Sarah Kay, but find it quite limiting in the colours you can use, bearing in mind the Period dress of the maid. The brown pattern paper and sentiment stamp is from Stampin up. Ribbon and button from Papermania. Hope you like her.

Paper Sunshine

Image
Hi everyone, thought I would add some sunshine to my blog, we certainly need some don't we. The paper/card is Anna Griffin, die cuts and flower made on my Silhouette which I am slowly learning about, I still have a long way to go but I am loving it. Hope you like my 'sunny' card, and thank you for any comments you may make. xx

Using Distress Inks

Image
Hi everyone, I used Distress Inks to colour these two images. I really love the look of all the cards I have seen using this medium, so decided to have a go. I hope you like the results. I am going to try to improve my colouring skills with these inks as I do really enjoy using them. Have a good weekend bloggers, lets hope we get some sunshine soon xx

Grace

Image
Hi everyone, all ready for the long weekend? I used the 'Grace' digi stamp from Sugar Nellie. The papers are from Nitwit. I cut up a Fanciful flourish die as it was too big for this card. The ribbon and gem are from a local craft store. I Coloured Grace with copic and Promarker pens. Hope you like her and that you all enjoy the Jubilee Celebrations.

Serendipity

Image
I thought I would make one of these Art Deco fold cards, haven't seen many of them lately. I inked the edges and fold lines before folding which made it easier. Quite a plain card, with few embelishments. Hope you like it.

Wedding Box

Image
This is my second exploding box, I have 2 more to make! There are the details on each of the 8 undersides, ie. names place , dates and some of vows. Used Papermill pearlescent card and Spellbinders die cuts. Thank you for looking at my blog xx

Copic's are winning.

Image
Hi everyone, added a couple of cards I made using Copic pens. I'm experimenting because I have Promarkers, Copics and Prisma's. I have decided to concentrate on just one medium. I wish I could master Prisma's but I'm hopeless, and Copics seem to blend easier than Promarkers. So Copics in front at the moment. Thanks to Redrottie for the great tutotials on her blog. Have a good weekend, hope you all get some sunshine xx

Teddy Bo

Image
Hi everyone, hope you like this card, it took ages for me to get it right. If you've seen this image before you know it has a heart and bunting background. It was there originaly, but I wasn'thappy with it, so cut it off. Then it all kind of fell into place. Thanks for looking xx

Peacock Birthday

Image
After all the excitement of the wedding, which was truly wonderful! its back to craft. I made this for my ex-husband's birthday. At the Hotel in Mexico there were lots of Peacocks around the grounds, so I added some peacock backing paper for his card. The bird and branch I cut with my Cricut. I should add that my ex and I are good friends, and spending 2 weeks with him and his wife was a pleasure. She and I shared many a joke at his expence.

Spent all day Blog Hopping (first time)and putting this card together. I couldn't get it right for ages, but reasonably happy now. I just wish I could use my PM's the way all you clever crafters do. Practice makes perfect I suppose. Think I'm better with Prisma's.
